    PHYSICAL STANDARDS:- 

    FOR MALE CANDIDATES -
    Height - 168 Cms 
    Chest - 80 cmE (85 Cms after expansion)
    Weight - Corresponding to Height and age

     FOR FEMALE CANDIDATES -
    Height - 157 Cms
    Chest - Not applicable 
    Weight -  Corresponding to Height and age 

    ● Note 1-  The minimum height of Male candidates falling in category of Garhwalies, Kumaonese, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh and Ladakh regions of J8K will be 165 Cms, The height for all candidates belonging to ST/Adivasis or Tribals including Mizos and Nagas will be 162.5 Cms. 

    ● Note 2.- The minimum standard so far it relates to chest measurement may be relaxed from 80 Cms unexpanded and 85 Cms expanded to Ze Cms unexpanded and 81 Cms expanded respectively for adivasis or Tribals. Note 3. The minimum height of female candidates falling in categories of Garhwall's, Kumaonese, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidątes belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh and Ladakh regions of J&K will be 155 Cms. The height for all candidates belonging to schedule Tribles/Adivasis or Tribals including Mizos and Nagas will be 154 Cms.


    MEDICAL STANDARDS (For Male/Female): -
    (i) Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of the both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing glasses. 
    (ii) Must pass high-grade colour vision test. 
    (iii) Must not have knock-knees, flat feet or varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess CP-III BY ISIHARA. 
    (iv) Must be in sound mental and bodily health and free from any defect/deformity likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.



     ◆  METHO OF SELECTION (Tests) :- 
    The candidates will have to be appeared in Two written test as under: 
    ( A) FIRST PHASE WRITTEN EXAMINATION (OMR BASED SCREENING TEST) For the post of HC (RO) and HC (RM):- The MCQ type written examination of 03 hours duration will be conducted at selected centers on the date and time fixed by HQ DG BSF. In the written examination MCQ paper, there will be 100 questions of 200 marks, divided in following four part: 

    Part I -
    Subject - Physics 
    No. Of Questions - 40 
    Max Marks - 80 Marks 

    Part II - 
    Subject - Mathematics 
    No. of Questions - 20
    Max Marks - 40 Marks 

    Part III - 
    Subject - Chemistry
    No. Of Questions - 20
    Max Marks - 40 Marks 

    Part IV -
    Subject - English & G K (Current affairs, History, Geography and General Science)
    No. Of Questions - 20
    Max Marks - 40 Marks 


     ●  NEGATIVE MARKING - For every multiple-choice question of 2 marks, 0.50 marks will e deducted for every wrong answer 

                 There will be one OMR based composite paper consisting of above mentioned four parts and the question paper will be "OMR BASED OBJECTIVE TYPE WITH MULTIPLE CHOICES" Question paper will be printed both in English as well as Hindi for each post. The minimum qualifying marks of written test for both the posts are as under:- 
    Direct Entry:-
    (i) General/OBC - 38%
    (ii) SC/ST - 33% 


    (B) SECOND PHASE :- 
    Shortlisted candidates, successfully qualified in OMR based screening test shall be permitted to appear in next phase i.e. PST/PET and documentation. Intimation through SMS/e-mail shall invariably be sent to all the shortlisted candidates by recruitment centre concerned to attend the Second phase. However, they must also get acquainted themselves for any updates being uploaded on BSF recruitment portal/website time to time. 
    PST/PET & Documentation 
    (i) Preliminary Screening -
    Male - Height, Chest
    Female - Height 

    (ii) Physical Efficiencyminutes Test -
    (i) Male - 1.6 Km race in 6.5 
    Female - 800 Mtrs race to be completed in 4 minutes 
    (ii) Long Jump -
    Male - 3.65 Mtr in three Chances
    Female - 09 Feet long jump (3chances to be given) 
    (iii) High Jump 
    Male - 1.2 Mtr in three chance 
    Female - 03 Feet high jump (3 chances to be given)  

    (iii) Verification of original documents- 
    a . Educational certificate 
    b. ITI/Diploma-certificate 
    c. Age (verified from matriculation mark sheet/certificate) 
    d. EWS income and asset certificate 
    e. OBC Certificate:- 
    i) Non-Creamy Layer 
    ii) Certificate of eligibility 
    f. SC/ST certificate g. Any other documents/ certificate/ testimonials that the candidate wishes to produce


    (C) THIRD PHASE (DESCRIPTIVE TEST):-
    Candidates successfully attended PST/PET and documentation stages shall be allowed to appear in next stage i.e. descriptive test, Subsequent dates for appearing in the descriptive test shall be announced to all qualified candidates by FHQ BSF as well as by recruitment centre concerned to attend the descriptive test.


    (D) FOURTH PHASE 
    Final Medical Examination:- 
    Candidates who qualify all the above tests will be put through a detailed medical examination to assess their fitness. Medical examination shall be carried out by BSF Medical board of officers.
